WHAT IS ELECTRONIC ?

ANS: Electronics is a scientific and engineering discipline that studies and applies the principles of physics to design, create, and operate devices that manipulate electrons and other electrically charged particles.

TYPES OF COMPONENET :

There are Two types of components 
  1. Active components 
  2. passive components
What is active components:

Capable for delivering energy to the circuit, Producing energy in the form of voltage or current, Able to generate power gain (can act as an amplifier), Control the current flow in the circuit, and External source is required to operate.

There are some electronic active component:

Transistor: Transistor are semiconductor devices that can amplify and switch electronic signals. They are widely used in electronic circuits for application like amplification, signal processing, and digital logic 



Operational Amplifier (Op-Amp): An op-amp is an integrated circuit (IC) that provides high gain for amplifying voltage signals. Op-Amps are commonly used in a variety of analog electronic circuits, such as amplifiers, filters and signal conditioning circuit.


  1. Integrated Circuits (ICs): Integrated circuits are semiconductor devices that contain various active components, including transistors, diodes, and op-amps, all on a single chip. ICs can perform complex functions and are the backbone of modern electronics

  3. FET (Field-Effect Transistor): FETs are a type of transistor used in various applications, including amplification and signal switching. They are known for their high input impedance and low power consumption.




  4. Bipolar Junction Transistor (BJT): BJTs are another type of transistor used for amplification and switching. They come in two main types: NPN and PNP, which have different characteristics and applications.




There are some electronic passive components:
  1. Resistor: A resistor is a passive component that resists the flow of electrical current. It is commonly used to control the current in a circuit, set voltage levels, and divide voltage.







  1. Capacitor: A capacitor is a passive component that stores electrical energy in an electric field. It is often used for energy storage, timing, and filtering applications. Capacitors can store and release energy but do not amplify signals.

  2. Inductor: An inductor is a passive component that stores electrical energy in a magnetic field. It is primarily used for filtering, energy storage, and inductive reactance in AC circuits. Like capacitors, inductors can store and release energy but do not amplify signals.


  3. Diode: While diodes are semiconductor devices, they are considered passive components in many contexts. Diodes allow current to flow in one direction only and are often used for rectification and voltage regulation.

  4. Transformer: Transformers are passive devices that consist of two or more coils of wire linked by a magnetic field. They are used to transfer electrical energy from one coil to another, typically with a change in voltage or current levels.
